Caliche & Pao gallery is known for exhibiting art that reflects the rhythm and raw beauty of the French Quarter. With each stroke of this married couples’ brush both artists create artworks that literally jump off of the canvases. Caliche & Pao are part of a group of artists that contribute to New Orleans impressionism. Their use of bright colors and 3-D bold textures draws the viewer into a whimsical world of New Orleans that captures the movement, historical architecture and music of the streets.

ABOUT PAO
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Pao began her studies at the Atheneo of Belles Artes (Fine Arts) school. Pao’s first artworks reflected her culture and Italian roots yet New Orleans called her. Pao’s creative artistic perspective of New Orleans landscapes, architecture, flowers and unique style has gained her notoriety locally and worldwide.
ABOUT CALICHE
Born in Bogota, Colombia, Caliche continues to take inspiration for his art from his childhood in Colombia and many years as a New Orleanian. Caliche’s style of painting French Quarter lampposts playing jazz instruments and whimsical scenes of New Orleans famous architecture has gained him a household name in New Orleans, nationwide and abroad
